Our Mission
The Mountaineer Leadership Fund (MLF) is a 501(c)(4) organization formed to promote principles that create a stronger West Virginia. Taking inspiration from West Virginia’s state motto, Montani Semper Liberi (Mountaineers Are Always Free), MLF believes that promoting principles like individual freedom, rule of law and fiscal responsibility ensures a free West Virginia where families and businesses can flourish.

Safe Communities
Public safety is the core of every community. That’s why MLF stands with the brave men and women of law enforcement and believes strongly in giving them the resources and support they need to pursue criminals and deliver justice to victims.
Government Transparency
MLF believes that all levels of government must be accountable to the public. A bloated, inefficient government betrays the trust placed in them by the people and wastes citizens’ hard-earned money. We will always advocate for transparency to make sure that taxpayer money is used wisely and efficiently.
West Virginia Energy
American Energy Independence begins in West Virginia. We have the resources to produce affordable domestic energy and power for not only West Virginia, but the entire nation. MLF works to stop the radical policies of coastal elites that serve only to hurt our brave coal miners and raise energy costs for all West Virginians.
